We were contracted out to help with some old Putty windows. The client is restoring the Courthouse in Yorkton, Sask. and requested help in restoring all the windows. We cut all new glass and installed them into the frames using glazing putty, following old standards to maintain the character of the windows while bringing them as close to new as possible. All the while, meeting their strict standards in quality.
Glazing putty usually needs 2-3 weeks to dry before the windows can be painted for their final coat. Proper restoration of these windows takes some time so if you plan on doing a restoration project like this please understand that this process takes a little time to do right.
